The Beginning

Life is like a story. Actually, it IS a story. I guess as cliche as this sounds, this is the start of a new chapter for me. I've started my own blog, and hope to spread my joy of photography and my photos to whoever is interested (I can't force you unfortunately). Did you know blog is actually short for "web log"? weird...

I started out in photography with an Olympus E510 bought second hand (but brand new in box) with both kit lenses. Eventually, I caught the "G.A.S.", which apparently stands for "Gear Acquisition Syndrome" I spent countless dollars of my hard earned money on manual focus Konica film lenses that I modded to my beloved Olympus. I actually named my e510 "Isabella" because that is one of my favorite girl names.

I shot day and night, trying everything out, from seeing other people's works. I tried copying their pictures at first, and then eventually found a variation of the same picture that I found to be more comfortable for me. As I got more and more into photography, I purchased two more cameras. They were the Nikon D70 and the Ricoh GRD II. I mostly use the Nikon and Olympus (they're good for different purposes IMO) I'm actually thinking of selling the Ricoh because it doesn't really fit my useage.

Currently most used gear:
Olympus E510 with 14-42mm and 40-150mm kit lenses, as well as the Konica Hexanon 57mm f/1.4
Nikon d70 with 50mm f/1.8 and 24mm f/2.8

I should stop ranting for now because I need to study for my test, and if you are also a student, I suggest you stop reading now and go study too, as much as I enjoy your curiosity to know me ;]

For now, I'll just study for my tests and update when I have time. Hopefully, I'll get better with this blogging thing, and you'll have an awesome experience everytime you visit. Feel free to leave comments of what you would like to see in the future and advice for a blogging newb :)
